Artist Guide

Degs matters because he does several jobs at once and does them properly. He can sing, write, host and DJ, which means his value on a festival lineup is broader than a one-dimensional vocalist feature. He is one of the clearest examples of modern liquid-facing drum and bass turning personality into part of the package rather than just stacking guest credits.

The songs are open-hearted, the voice is immediate and the sets still keep a system sense. That last part matters. Degs is not useful because he softens a bill; he is useful because he can inject melody, optimism and live-wire charisma while keeping the drums in place. He gives the lineup a human centre without flattening it into easy-listening festival fluff.

For LOCUS, Degs is a crowd-connector. He is the act you can put in front of non-specialists and obsessives alike and still get both sides leaning in. Because the trip has a strong group energy, that kind of artist is valuable: tunes people can latch onto quickly, but enough credibility that nobody feels like the bill has been diluted. His 2025 appearance already proved he belongs in the Bali story.
