Artist Guide

Doc Scott is one of the names that makes the word 'lineage' feel earned rather than lazy. He came through the early rave and club years, stood at the Blue Note core of the Metalheadz story and kept evolving without sanding down what made him distinctive in the first place. When he is on a lineup, he changes its seriousness level immediately.

The phrase Goldie used, 'The King of the Rollers,' still tells the story well. Doc Scott does not need gimmicks because groove, patience and pressure do the work. His sets can feel deceptively simple until you notice how total the control is. For dancers, that often means the most satisfying kind of movement: less obvious theatre, more deep physical lock-in.

At LOCUS, he is a credibility pillar and a mood setter. The site may be tropical, but a Doc Scott slot promises proper late-night concentration. He also adds historical weight without feeling like a heritage booking for its own sake; RA still shows him playing fabric, Phonox, Sonar and broader 2026 schedules. If you want one artist who reminds everybody that drum and bass is a culture before it is a playlist, start here.
